Memories of this place from my childhood are great. It’s actually quite beautiful especially for being in shelbyville. Aside from the smell of sewage in about 30 percent of the park and the fact that a body was recently found in the river it’s overall a great park. Bike trails, multiple play areas for kids, benches, different areas for large group gatherings, ok for fishing don’t expect to catch anything big along this stretch of river.
Sunset Park is a nice park; but I don't visit there anymore because kids have become adults and grandkids live too far away.
Beautiful and peaceful place to go and enjoy life.
