Brand new well built hospital when it opens.
Location, location, location. When the hospital moved, it really moved. It is now located in an area with only once access. If a train is on the rail road tracks, you add at least 17 minutes to your travel. In life and death situations, that is unacceptable. Quality of care is lacking, although the available equipment did improve with the move.
The E.R. will make due if you can't get anywhere else quickly. I stood up too quickly and blacked out due to syncope and hit my head hard enough to make an indent and keep me unconscious. Was very dizzy, head hurt, trouble with memory, nauseous. Dr. Tells us I had to have had a seizure since I take meds for it wants to start me on a 2nd med for it. Wife says I think he has a concussion and he says "Maybe we should keep him a couple of days. " Asked for ice for my head and was asked why I needed it. E.R. never rechecked my med list and gave wrong one to the observation nurses and told them different story of what happened. The observation side was fantastic -loved them all! ! ! Was decided I had a bad concussion. When I followed up with my neurologist I was taken off the extra meds as they can make me more dizzy combined with my others. No signs I had a seizure at all, but signs my blood pressure dropped too fast when I moved too quickly. Was so disappointed again in the hospital E.R.
