At the request of one of their customers I accompanied them to Mach1 PC in Shelbyville. An iPad was brought to them to replace its battery. Mach1 PC sent it to Indianapolis to have this done. After the owner of the iPad picked it up, they noticed that something was wrong with the home button so they went back to Mach1 PC to have it repaired. The iPad owner let them know they weren't comfortable with the iPad being sent back to the same place as before, but Mach1 PC sent it there anyway. This time when the iPad came back it had scratches on the screen. So Mach1 PC offered 2 options to the customer for their satisfaction and said that they were willing to hear a 3rd option. Each time an option was presented it was shot down. During this conversation with the owner of Mach1 PC he was getting very upset and one of the people with us was accused of attacking him and cutting him down, in which they responded that they weren't doing that, only presenting the facts as they were. When I suggested an option on behalf of the customer that seemed fair, the owner of Mach1 PC didn't like that and then informed me that since I wasn't the customer he would no longer even converse with me and if I talked he would ask me to leave and if I didn't leave he would call the police and have them escort me out. I was shocked. It escalated very quickly as no one was arguing or doing anything to provoke this reaction. When I was told that he didn't want to speak to me, I said ok. I also said there would be no need to have anyone escort me out because if I was asked to leave then I would go. Well, he proceeded to speak to me and even ask me a question. When I started to respond to him, he cut me off and told me that he warned me not to talk and then ordered his son to call the police. Keep in mind I was only trying to respond to what he asked me and he also didn't even ask me to leave, just jumped straight to telling his son to call the police, which was not needed because I willingly left. When I mentioned that I was going to let people know how he ran his business, I was told that since he's known around town that no one would believe me and therefore think that I'm the problem. My companions remained in Mach1 PC to finish their business. The owner proceeded to tell one of them that they better make sure I don't post any bad reviews, to which they responded that they had no control over that. He then again stated they better make sure I don't leave any bad reviews because if they saw any they would bring their lawyers in on it. To which my companion responded that that would be a lot of money he wouldn't want to spend. To that, the owner of Mach1 PC said it wouldn't bother him because he does work for these said lawyers. I also want to note that I left a one star review on Mach1 PC's Facebook page, but somehow the feature to leave reviews is now gone and subsequently all the reviews are gone as well. I'll be fair and say the owner and the customer came to an agreement. Not one that I personally think is fair but that's between them. However I still felt the need to leave a review so that others will know that a product was brought to them to work on and it came back twice in a worse condition both times. Also to threaten someone not to leave a bad review or you will involve your lawyers is bad business and unethical.
